A note about this blog

The pieces below were written and distributed by email and in some cases published while I was living and working in the town of Zababdeh, near Jenin, in the West Bank. I wanted to publish them on a website of my own creation, but lack of creativity meant that I never got around to it. However, my discovery and use of blogger.com (through my blog at http://szekely.blogspot.com ) made it clear that I could probably post them here with much less hassle.

I have posted them and datestamped them with the dates they were written originally. Unfortunately, that means they appear in the wrong order. I'd recommend reading them from bottom to top, starting with Patience.
